I had a nice sleep in and then headed over to uni for our first 2-hour méthodologie class, which was ok, just a lot of learning to write French essays (real classes start in two weeks). We only had fifteen minutes for lunch so we had to run and grab a baguette fromage before another fairly boring lecture on how to give an exposé.
We then had a longer break and went wandering just up the road and found an incredible chocolate and macaroon shop, called Maison Georges Larnicol. They had all these cool chocolate sculptures…
And the most delicious looking “mini macarons”…
They're about 70 cents each so I tried chocolate, caramel and raspberry, and the raspberry was absolutely AMAZING! I have a sneaking suspicion this may become a regular thing.
In the evening we had a bit of a tour around St. Germain and they showed us where all the various Sciences-Po buildings are, before going to a dungeon bar for more wine (lots of the bars are in old dungeons, you go down tiny staircases and then there’s a little cave type thing where you order drinks). Beaucoup de fun
